A home electrical inspection will keep your heating system running up to 50% more efficiently, and by servicing your electrical systems regularly you will save money on your electricity bills and increase the lifespan of your appliances.

Your inspection will consist of the following:

  • Check electrical safety devices
  • Test and clean heating units
  • Check air-filter and condition, including dust build up and foreign objects (fire safety). Removal of dust and debris.
  • Check and clean heater motor and fan (forced-air heating systems)
  • Inspect ducting and piping
  • Test-start the unit and test the functioning of the thermostat, including calibration, micro-temp, wires and leads
  • Can also organise cleaning of chimneys, flues, and vents. (additional cost)

Inspection includes:

Electric Heater, hot water system and switchboard and safety switches. In addition, if you mention this add we will conduct an infrared scan of your switchboard as a prevention of electrical switchboard fires for free, a $120 saving.

  • Booking times accepted between 8am and 3pm Monday – Friday. Weekends will attract an additional cost.

  • A discount is offered on any parts and labour needed to further repair the units.
  • The age of each unit will determine your eligibility in the program.
  • Liability is waved on any unit of considerable age (at the discretion of Five Star Electrical).
